Conventual de Alcántara
Hospedería Conventual de Alcántara
The Hospedería Conventual de Alcántara is a former 15th-century convent which has been converted into a 4-star hotel, with modern décor that respects the spirit of the original building.
Its spacious rooms and areas, coupled with the fabulous views and large windows, make this a light-filled, radiant 4-star hotel. The renovated area provides comfortable, functional rooms for guests. The hotel's more outstanding facilities include the restaurant, the paddle tennis court and the events' rooms.
The surroundings and nearby towns of Spain and Portugal are perfect for active and rural tourism.

The town of Alcántara, west of Cáceres, forms part of the International Tagus Natural Park. The famous Roman bridge of Alcántara, built in the age of the emperor Trajan, and the convent of San Benito are two of the biggest attractions here - two impressive monuments you should not miss.

Restaurant
Kántara Restaurant
The Hospedería Conventual de Alcántara houses our Kántara Restaurant, which occupies the former monks' refectory. Our restaurant maintains the legacy of the Templar tradition, as well as the influence of Portuguese cuisine and more modern techniques.
In the Kántara Restaurant you will find succulent cuisine with recipes from the olden days, like the "Partridge, Alcántara-style", as well as surprising, modern dishes such as the "Creamy Torta del Casar and Boletus rice with King Prawns".
